Our Staff

LEAD PASTOR – OWEN & SHELLOY MASON

 
Owen began ministry in 1985. He is a Purdue University graduate with a B.S. in Technology, majoring in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. He attended Evangel University Bible School and completed his studies through Berean School of the Bible.
 
Owen and his wife, Shelloy, started Church Alive Worship Center in the spring of 2000. The Mason’s have three children, Jared, Kiersten and Kayla.
 
Owen is an ordained minister with Missionary Church International and Full Gospel Fellowship.
 

ASSOCIATE & WORSHIP PASTOR – ADAM LIGHT

 
Adam and his wife, Shari, have been at Church Alive since its inception. Adam is orginally from Lafayette and after attending Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and Fire School of Ministry, he returned to Church Alive in the spring of 2001.
 
Adam first started his journey at Church Alive as our Youth Pastor and now is our Associate and Worship Pastor.
 
Adam is an ordained minister with Missionary Church International.
 

SENIOR PASTOR – BOB & ROSE LONG

 
Bob and his wife, Rose, have a long history of ministry in Singles Ministries, Blended Families and now with our Senior Ministries. 
 
Bob and Rose help lead our Divorce Care small group and monthly Widows luncheon. 
 
They come to Church Alive from Waxahachie, Texas working at the Assembly of God Church camp.
 

KIDS ALIVE PASTOR – TIM & RHONDA OVERMAN

 
Tim and his wife, Rhonda, oversee Kids Alive, our children’s ministry. Both Tim and Rhonda have been involved in children’s ministry for the past several years and are from the Lafayette area. 
 
The Overmans have a strong passion of helping kids build their faith and encouraging them to practice the word of Jesus Christ through bible stories, worship songs, fun activities and fellowship.
 

OUTREACH PASTOR – TAYLOR JUSTICE

 
Taylor is a 2019 graduate from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has a bachelors degree in Pastoral Studies.
 
During his time at North Central, he was a member of the baseball team, created and lead a devotional program that was designed for student athletes to better connect with one another and grow closer to God. 
 
Taylor is from the Lafayette area and is an avid fisherman and loves the great outdoors.
 
 
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
